They are often angry and jealous. They focus on what they don't want, don't like, and don't have. Persecutors engage in behaviors to protect, control, and defend themselves. They have little compassion for others, and are most comfortable in a place of chaos. Life is always about day-to-day survival.
Persecutors don't understand that their scarcity mindset actually brings about more scarcity through isolation. Rescuers are quick to save others, even when others are responsible.
They attach their self-worth to fixing others. They do not believe in empowering; they believe in rescuing.

Like victims, rescuers are focused on what isn't working. These three roles often interchange with one another. For example, if a rescuer jumps in to rescue someone else, and the outcome is not good, the victim they are rescuing will blame them.
They will then take on the role of persecutor, making efforts to protect and defend themselves. They will also feel like the victim, and wonder why no one ever appreciates them.
It is an unhealthy, interdependent cycle. The Creator is the alternative mindset to the Victim.
